Pumpkins in Albuquerque
Come to the city in October and boy and you in for a treat. You've gotta go to McCall's Pumpkin Patch, which is less than an hour from Albuquerque and off Interstate 40, in nearby Moriarty. There will be pumpkins everywhere - and I mean everywhere. There are also some other popular fall attractions here, like a huge maze in a corn field, a pyramid made from hay, and a chance to go panning for gold. And if you want to buy yourself a pumpkin or five, they're dirt cheap too.

The International Balloon Fiesta in Albuquerque
October is such a great time to visit the city, there is just so much to do. The International Balloon Fiesta one of the state's biggest annual events and takes place during the first fortnight in October. The sky quickly fills up with balloon in all shapes, sizes and colors. You can even volunteer to help out if you like, and if you're lucky, you may even get yourself a free ride in return. I did. Awesome.

Lots of Public Art Around the City
Public art is all over the city and really makes Albuquerque feel quite trendy and European. This is particularly the case around the Civic Plaza, and again at the airport. I loved it and took a load of pictures, standing next to them where possible.
